It’s hard to remember all saved WiFi password on Android phone connected at Cafe, Gym, or friends house. Each time you connected to WiFi using password, Android device keep saved it. In this tutorial, I am going to show you that how you can see/view your saved WiFi password on Android phone without root access.
To find the WiFi password, go to Router login page by typing IP address 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1 in any browser. Now type the router default username and password such as
User : admin, user
Password : admin, password, user
Note : This method works if the owner of Router doesn’t change the router default password.

You can see the Router page, select the Wireless option and on that check the Wireless Security, you can get the password from the page.
How to See/View Saved WiFi Password On Android Phone Without Root
The things you need for tweak to work
- You will need a Laptop/PC
- Download adb drivers
- Platform tools – minimal adb and fastboot
The saved WiFi password in Android phone are stored in the data\misc\wifi directory, which can be easily accessible if you’ve root access. If your Android phone is not rooted, this tweak will help you to wpa_supplicant.conf file using adb, which contain all the saved WiFi password.
On Android phone, head to Settings > About Phone, Click on Build number 5-6 times until you get the “You’re now a developer” popup message.
Now go to developer options in settings and switch Android/USB debugging to on. If you have an option of Root Access, set it to ADB only.
Open the folder where you’ve installed the above tools. Hold the Shift key and right click inside the folder to click on Open Command Window here.
To test whether ADB is working properly, connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable and run the following command:
You should see a device in this list and successfully connected the device in ADB mode. Now run the following command to pull the required file from your phone.
adb pull /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf c:/wpa_supplicant.conf
Note : If you’re using Ubuntu OS on your Laptop or PC, type the following command
adb pull /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf ~/
This will fetch the file from your phone and copy it to your C:/ drive. Open this file in notepad and find the saved WiFi password. done!
If you are using MiUi it’s very easy to get the saved password. When you are connected to WiFi, you’ll get option to share password through QR code. Simply click on tap to share password and take screenshot of QR code. Now can use QR code scanner to see the password
