1#. Re-Register or Replace ExplorerFrame.dll file :
Open command prompt window (Press Win + R, type cmd and hit enter)
Type the following command, press Enter and restart your system.
This command will help detect corrupt operating system dll file and replace them. In case ExplorerFrame.dll file is corrupt, type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter. This command checks for any modification in dll files and restores the changes.
2#. Register DCOM Components :
Open Component Services window (press Win + R, type dcomcnfg and press Enter)
Navigate the following path, Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config
Double click DCOM Config, you should get few pop-up warning messages, click Yes and restart your system.
3#. Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service :
- Press Windows key + R to open Run dialog, type services.msc and press Enter.
- Find the Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service, right click it and hit Start.
Note : The Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service is not exit in Windows 10 version 1607, 1703, 1709, and 1803.
4#. Reset Default Apps:
If Class not registered error occur when you’re searching the web using Cortana, open the photo app, try to play video or movies, try this tweak to fix error.
Go to Control Panel, change the view by large icon at the right hand side as category is default view. Head to Default Programs > Set your default programs, it will open a new window. Scroll down and find reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults, click “Reset”.
5#. Disable iCloud :
Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc, right click the iCloud and choose End Task.
You can also disable iCloud from starting up from Task Manager window, click Startup tab and right click the iCloud to disable it.
6#. Restart Explorer :
If Class not registered error occur while working with Edge, Cortana or Start Menu, restarting explorer.exe will fix it.
Start Task Manager, go to Details tab and right click explorer.exe, press End Task.
Now in Task Manager, go to File > Run new task, create new task winodw will appear, type explorer and press OK.
