While browsing Wikipedia itself is great but sometimes you need to send its articles elsewhere. Here are 4 ways to export Wikipedia for various needs.
1. Create a Book : Whether you prefer reading on your computer, eBook Reader, or on paper, sometimes it can be nice to have your research together in a book format. Here’s how to turn Wikipedia articles into a PDF file for offline reading or print as a paper book.
You can choose any articles you like and turn them into a book. Visit the Book Creator page and tap “Start Book Creator” and you’ll be able to add any article you visit to your book. Once you’re done, you can export it to PDF file, Print Book or visit the book collection page to download books made by others.
2. Download as PDF : If you only need a single article, just click the “Download as PDF” on the left sidebar of any article. (See under the Print/Export heading)
3. Printable Version : You can print any article by click on Print on the left sidebar for a friend who doesn’t have Internet access.
4. Download Wikipedia : There are some App like WikiTaxi, WikiReader, Kiwix, iPodLinux etc that lets you download Wikipedia database to your computer which you can view, search and browse offline. By default all images or other multimedia files are excluded to save space in the download, but if you have space to spare, there are other download options available.
